After three decades leading and developing teams in organisations, my mission with OneTeamPharma is simple: to help more pharma leadership teams make a bigger impact.

I first learned about teams under pressure leading expeditions in South America and Mongolia in my 20s.  Many of those lessons still hold today, as I support high-profile leadership teams across some of the biggest firms in pharma.

As a lifelong student of complex systems leadership, I’ve led national-scale change programmes myself in Healthcare, Renewable Energy, and Education, including as Head of Strategy for the Scottish Government.

Consulting roles since then include as Director at PwC, Head of Innovation at supply chain specialists State of Flux, and Associate Director at The PSC, the UK’s leading public sector transformation partner.  Previous clients include Lloyd’s Banking Group, Electrolux, Unilever, British Telecom, and the UK Cabinet Office.

Now in my 50s, I could not have worked with senior teams to the same depth a decade ago.  The 40s can bring some tough reckonings.  Mine certainly did.  And they carried gifts I continue to benefit from today.

As Jung asked: "how can I be whole if I do not cast a shadow"?

I'm throwing a little light on mine here, because - whilst useful - our professional masks can also shield us from the human connection we all need.  And in service of your teams, I am all-in myself.

As well as corporate work, I continue to mentor young people, and young men in particular, running events in remote places for under-30s.  I live between Rome and London, with my Italian wife and our 3 daughters, and our Scottish Labrador, CocoBear.
